Since we are making romper for Barbie... We can't just let our Curvy Barbie envy about that, so we decided to make romper for them with different design... ^.<
Things needed for this project :
- Fabric of your choice
- Needle & thread
- Sewing pin
- Sewing machine (recommended)
- Scissors
- Snap button
- Scrap paper & pencil for pattern
- Water erasable pen
Step by step instruction :
1. First of all, lay your model on a piece of scrap paper and roughly draw the outline of the body shape...
2. Then, draw out the design of romper based on the outline we got...
3. Cut out the pattern leaving some space on the side...
Put on the pattern on your model to check if the measurement is right...
4. Transfer the pattern on your fabric after the measurement is confirmed~
* Don't forget to leave some gaps in between*
5. Cut them out and layout the pattern accordingly...
Layout the pattern so that it's easier for us to handle while sewing, also to prevent any missing piece...
6. Start with pinning and sewing the outer seam of the shorts~
7. Hem the cuff...
8. Then pin and sew the top (a) & center (b) edges of the top...
Since this part needs to be accurate, don't rush during this process... take your time to get a better result ^.<
9. Attach the top & shorts part together~
Pin them right side to right side~
Sew them together~
10. Attach the front rise together...
Pin and sew the front rise but don't forget to leave spaces for the inner seam~ ^.<
11. Sew the inner seam together~
12. Sew only half way of the back rise...
13. Hem the edges of the rest...
14. At last, sew on a snap button at the back~
And you're DONE~~~
