Ken doll Regency era fashion

After making the Regency Era dresses for Barbie... We feel like making something for Ken doll too...

And so we decided to make some Regency era shirt to get started with...šŸ˜

Things you'll need for this project :

- Fabric of your choice (prefer something thinner, I'm using muslinšŸ˜)

- Scissors

- Needle & thread

- Measurement tape

- Sewing pin

- Water erasable pen

- Sewing machine (highly recommended)

- Buttons or beads

1. Take measurement needed with measurement tape...

We'll be needing the measurements for length of the shirt, neckline, sleeves, and width of the shoulder...

So this is the measurement I'll be working with, please noted that I'm using original Ken doll body type...

2. Attach sleeves onto the body piece...

Pin them right side to right side and do pleats during the process to fit the 10cm length to 8cm...

And for this only do pleats at the middle...

Sew them together after pinning everything in place....

3. Add on cuff onto sleeves...

Before pinning the pieces together... Do ruffles or pleats at the end to the sleeves so that it will fit the 8cm onto 3cm cuff...

Sew them together... Also trim off the excess...

4. Hem the edge of the cuff and fold in seam of cuff...

Make a mark at 1.5cm point and then hem until that point...

Den fold in the seam and pin to secure in place... then sew them together...

5. Sew the back and front together...

pin and sew them together... trim off the excess...

6. Attach the collar onto body piece...

Turn the right side out... use a water erasable pen sketch out the neckline...

Then pin the collar onto the body piece right side to right side also make pleats during the process...

Sew them carefully...

After that hem the edge of both side, then fold in the seam of collar and pin to secure in place... Sew with care...

7. Hem the bottom edge...

Pin the bottom edge and hem...

8. Lastly sew on button on the cuff...

And it's done~
